SUMMARY:The Future of Health: Integrating Literacy into Educational Frameworks
DESCRIPTION:When:  Apr 30\, 2025 from 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM (PT) \nWebinar Description\nIntegrating health literacy into educational frameworks is crucial for fostering well-being and enabling people to make knowledgeable health decisions in light of the world’s changing healthcare concerns. This presentation examines the future of health from an educational perspective\, highlighting the value of integrating health literacy throughout all educational levels. The presentation will address how health literacy in the curriculum can improve public health outcomes\, lessen health inequities\, and encourage a more proactive approach to healthcare by examining how schools\, colleges\, and community initiatives shape health knowledge. Along with the potential advantages of digital health literacy programs in a world growing more interconnected by the day\, interdisciplinary collaboration is necessary to develop successful educational tools\, curricula\, and teaching methodologies. In summary\, incorporating health literacy into curricula is essential to preparing the next generation for the challenges of navigating contemporary healthcare systems and embracing better lifestyles. \nLearning Objectives\nBy the end of the session\, \n\nParticipants will be able to define health literacy and list at least three reasons why it is essential for making informed health decisions.\nParticipants will be able to describe three criteria used to evaluate the credibility and accuracy of health information and explain how to recognize bias or misinformation in health-related content.\nParticipants will be able to identify the role that social determinants of health play in shaping health literacy and influencing health outcomes.
