When you know what the law says\, you can better protect your community.\n\nThe ACLU of Delaware has already begun to fight back against the escalating attacks on immigrants\, but the work ahead will take all of us. Now more than ever\, we need you to step up to help protect people who are immigrants and their families.\n\nThis Know Your Rights training is designed to empower immigrants and allies with the knowledge and tools to support Delaware’s immigrant communities.\n\nThis training will cover important topics like:\n•     Interactions with ICE and law enforcement;\n•     Understanding warrants and search rights;\n•     Knowing your role as an ally and how to safely intervene; and\n•     Resources and support networks available for immigrant communities and allies.\n\nThis training is presented by ACLU Delaware’s Jared Silberglied and Helen Salita and brought to you by Delaware Libraries & Literacy Delaware.\n\nPlease register to receive a link to the webinar. DESCRIPTION:Team SCRABBLE ™ fundraising event! \nTickets to SCRABBLE™ Along the Brandywine are $50 per person. Entry fee includes heavy hors d’oeuvres\, beer\, and wine. \nThis is no ordinary game of SCRABBLE™! Teams consisting of up to 6 players receive the same set of SCRABBLE™ tiles. Teammates work collaboratively to build the highest-scoring board for each of the three rounds. \nYou can purchase tiles to complete those high-scoring words and/or peek in the dictionary to verify word spelling. \nThe top three highest-scoring teams (cumulatively) will be recognized. There will also be beautifully themed raffle baskets to win. \nBring cash or checks; credit cards will also be accepted as payment. \nAll proceeds will be used to support reducing our learner waiting list. \n
